Description 

University of Tartu, which was established in 1632, belongs to the top 3% of world’s best universities (THE World University Rankings 2015/2016). International students can study English taught degree programmes on Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD levels in various fields with full tuition-waiver scholarships.

Most of the Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes taught in English language offer tuition-waiver scholarships. The tuition-waiver scholarship means that the students receiving this scholarship do not have to pay the tuition fee, if they complete a full-time study load. Full time study load is completed if no more than 6 credits are missing from the 30 ECTS workload per semester. The tuition-waiver scholarships are allocated at the time of admission. It will be noted in the admission letter whether a student is granted tuition–waiver scholarship or is granted a tuition fee based study place (needs to pay for studies).

Eligibility 

To be eligible for Bachelor’s and Master’s studies, applicants must have completed previous studies (high school and Bachelor’s studies accordingly), or be about to graduate in the spring.

Costs & Scholarships

Application Procedure 

All applicants have to submit the online application. After submitting the application electronically, it should be printed, signed and sent by post with all the required documents before the deadline to: International Student Service, University of Tartu, Ülikooli 18, Tartu 50090, ESTONIA. The application deadline for English taught Master’s programmes in natural and exact sciences is March 15.
